Nope not me. I've got a set of my original bars I rode BITD, so I'm just going to get them re painted and go with that. Trying to build my new bike from all my OG parts I've had since way back when, except for the frame and fork. I may have found one of my old frames though which would be really cool.
Spicoli
Cool set of bars, and the price wasnt bad either imo...

Woody, I dont know about re painting your old bars, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that any scratches or damage that YOU did to your bars bitd would just make them that much cooler ! Of course a perfect "restored/ NOS" Woody replica built by the man himself is cool too...

I guess the whole reason I started this project was so that I would have a pink bike in my collection, since I don't have one. During my time at Hutch I had 3 or 4 pink bikes with different parts. I also had two different colored pink frames. I think you guys maybe only ever saw one or two versions of those bikes through the magazines. There is probably one that is more famous than all the others around here due to the "build" of that bike back at Rockford a couple years back. So to keep my same train of thought and do something just a bit different, I'm going to build a new version, one I wanted to do, but never did.

Have any of you ever seen this version?

I thought those bars would go for more.. I never seen the pink Hutch with red parts.. You must not have rode that very long, cause it slippd through magazine coverage.. Very stoke though!

Ohhhhhh how lvely is the pink with red parts, so is that the one your building Woody?
race_inc
I don't recall where but I have sen that build before Woody. That one is my favorite!

BINGO! That IS the bike from the "beach ad" with Mike Dominguez!
Spicoli
Should be a killer build !

Woody what kind of rims are you rockin in that pic ?

Someone around here built a pink TS in a similiar "red" color scheme a couple of years ago...I think it had red Bullsey cranks !

Good luck with the build Woody.

I need to update these pics as there is a new set of wheels on this bike, NOS Z Rims with alluminum Hutch red hubs, but here is my interpretation of pink and red. And I am currently putting Aerospeeds on it as well

I never realized that was the same bike I used in the add.. As for the rims, they most likely were Araya 7x. As for my new build, it will be something different than what I've built before in terms of colors. I think it will come out really nice. I tracked down a frame at my buddies house. Now I just need to find a pair of Hutch FS Forks with the small pegs on them and a front Hutch Hub to get my build under way..

Your Pink and Red bike......was this the same bike you were riding on the May 1985 cover of Freestylin? Only difference is on the cover your rims were chrome....all other parts look identical.

Hey Woody,
What's the story about the different jerseys you and Mike are wearing in that photo?

I have a Hutch jersey from after you left the team, and it has a design on the sleeve similar to the one on Mike's, but I think the arrow design is spiraling down on my jersey.
freestyl
That may have been the same bike from the cover, but I can't be sure. Usually when I changed out parts it was to build up a new bike. I traveled so much back then, my bikes would get beat up pretty quick. Seemed like once a month I was at Hutch and I live in CA. Hutch didn't like us riding bikes that looked beat up...

As for the Jerseys, we did have two different styles, but similar looks. We had helmets done the same way from ECHO. Similar looks but slightly different colors and styled to match the Jerseys.
