Full Version: Scale models of BMX tracks

Has anyone ever made any scale models of BMX tracks (think model railroad-style with little trees and bushes, etc.)? I think it would be kinda cool to see some of the old-school tracks in 3D, especially if they are famous or now gone. As a Midwest guy like me who never saw the SoCal tracks for real BITD, I have a hard time picturing what some were really like just looking at photos.

i think that's a cool idea, john. time to go to the hobby store and get some clay.

i just built a 66 el camino
was thinking if taking the extra plastic and making a national pro scale build .
you know use the scrap plastic from the tree .

i imagine some of those old school cali tracks like corona would take quite a bit of clay.

Carve it from foam, cover it with hydrocal and paint.....

Yeah, a guy could actually go nuts making quite a diorama. Get a few hacks in there, some guys on the gate...
