no chance on those decals, im sure they will get done one day. The standard sets show up from time to time but the 10th ani part nope...

noodles104
ya , just like the decals on your photo , wonder if a decal maker could come up with something similar. even if it was just the forks and rail. oh well , thanks for the response.

cool bike but I am pretty sure that hit around 85?

Mine's an `84 too, and 1984 would be the 10th Anniversary of Mongoose, but some of these did have an `85 serial number.

My decals are in decent shape, but I would take a new set as well...

Couple questions... Why would '84 be the 10th Anniversary? I thought the bikes came out in '75? Another 80's anomaly I guess...

MCM, what's all the plastic stuff on that frame? Especially the orange stuff under the headtube bottom cup? How long have you had that thing?
Motor City Mongoose
No anomaly, the company started in 1974 - it's the anniversary of the company, not the bike. That's also why they came out with 25th anniversary bikes in 1999 and 30th anniversary bikes in 2004.

One of my son's 25th Anniversary Supergoose's:

Plastic stuff is a brake guard, orange stuff is a beat Dirt Skirt.

We all know Skip started in '74 with the Motomag. Maybe you meant to say "1984 would be the 10th Anniversary of BMX Products" That would have made more sense...

Regardless, it's all good Dave. Everything except all that nasty rust and the little plastic orange "skirt" on your frame! laugh.gif

I thought you said you bought 7 pounds of OA, had used what you needed and had the rest lying around? laugh.gif Hmm.. Time for another soak?

BTW, nice to see you posting some pics. Can't wait to see it put together. wink.gif

Are you positive that is a real 10th anniversary? Both of mine have the serial # starting with an "I", and both have rivited on headbadges?

P.S. I need stickers too.

Yep, positive. They were the only looptails to have a 1 1/4" downtube and only 5/8" rear triangle.

Are both of yours `85's?

This one went pretty cheap...

Hey Dave....nope...unfortunately not. I put an early bid in on it and forgot to follow up on the auction...I would have liked to grab that one...just needs a little TLC. I always have plenty of decals lying around.

Sorry guys...no USA decs...have never seen them anywhere other then applied to the 10th frames...!
