Today I went to a local race track and I ran into Chris Rothrock. Great rider that rode for general. If you ever seen him ride the ramp usually your jaw would drop. It has been 20 years since we rode together and seen each other. Will definetly get to hang out some now. So many years have gone by but we talked about past contest and shows like it was just yeasterday. If anyone has any questions for him I could easily ask since I have his phone number. We talked about him riding with R.L. and hanging with Mike D. and Dennis McCoy. Later..........

I consider Chris an old friend as well. I'd like to think I helped him get on a factory team. Tell him Shingle said "what's up"....

That's cool. Making connections with old buddies, remembering good stuff together.

Since nobody else has any:

Is it true Fred Blood made a pass at Chris in a hotel room and totally freaked him out? laugh.gif

That sounds very funny axlepeg. If I see him this weekend I will definetly ask him. ohmy.gif

Did Fred go back to roller skating?

Can you ask him how much grief did he catch for rockin' the extensions bitd? biggrin.gif

In all seriousness though, it would be cool to hear his thoughts, memories, or any stories from back then. Always cool to hear what it was like for the sponsored guys.

I got the chance to talk to Chris a little bit yesterday. First he said what's up Shingle!! he told me ya'll were good friends. I did ask him about the Fred encounter and he said that Fred had a hot wife but one weekend in a hotel in n.y that he started acting very weird to a couple different people. Must had been pretty stupid because he got kicked off the team after that he said. He knows really nothing of the vintage community. He has no old bikes or parts left, he does have a supercross bike and the last time he rode was a couple years ago and he pulled a 720 clean at an x games park he said. Now he mainly rides motorcycles and jumps 80 ft triples so he still goes all out. He also owns his own business. cool.gif

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear he's doing well.
