Looking for something for my Mongoose and Torker. Would like to find some from shops that were big back in the early 80's that would look correct. Examples: Hank & Frank, Bicycle Source, Wheels N Things OR??????

Thanks. No hi-jack problem. Ralph's Bicycles is another good example of a bike shop a kid in MI could have ordered a frame from back in the 80's.

got a link Dion?

Someone needs to repro the Beaver's Bicycles stickie!

The H&F is vintage and even in blue, but smaller than the size needed for that guy's Patterson.

The Whitman's penguin is cool because the black and white areas are fuzzy to the touch.

I also have an NOS 1981 frameset with an original El Monte Cyclery sticker attached that is very cool.

Not looking to get rid of them, just thought I'd share.

Done! The best seat tube Bike Shop sticker ever, IMHO (which is why I spent my own money to recreate the art and have these screenprinted, die-cut decals done up). There are also BB logo T-Shirts in assorted sizes left from the summer run.

Hey Mike,

I don't know if you saw my reply on a previous post about stickers but if you are looking for a company who actually did most of the companies BITD let me know and I will give you his information.

My 79 Torker has a green reflective Bicycle License sticker from Lincoln Nebraska on it. It's way too cool to take off! hehehe

I would love that info.

These BB stickies were produced by Dilco Industrial (ne้ Dille Screen Print) of Orange, CA.

I cannot confirm they did the original BB decals, but I know they did, and currently do, a lot of bike industry decals (I was originally introduced to them by Bob Wright of Echo in 1982, at which time I did my original "BMX Underwriters" stickers).

It was great to go back to them 26 years later and get the same exemplary service I did BITD.

Bob Dille, and now his son Jay, know what is all the way up with BMX manufacturers' needs.

Still, would love to hear about your sources.

Best,

M

Well then it seems you have been going to the right place after all... good2.gif

Tell by good friend Bob I said hi... I haven't spoke to him since I think '92 or so... He is the man!

Bob used to make all of my plate decals until I started to injection mold my plates.

Heheh. Good peeps, down there. Bob is pretty much retired, based on what Jay said, but i will pass it on (calling them in a few mins to have some "NO CPSIA" stickers done up for Guthrie).

Best,

M

P.S. The site listed on the decal is not up yet...only reserved the domain an hour ago.

I have an original roll of "The Bike Gallery" seat mast decals. While not BB, Ralphs or EFF, we were a pretty strong regional shop that did have a store front and mail order (plus sponsored Bart McDaniels and DY). Contact me and I can set you if desired.
