Fantastic job! But this is a big problem with 20+ year old parts and bikes...
No internal protection....rusting inside out making items weaker...
A good trick is to use rust inhibiting etching primer liquid,not a spray can..use a hypodermic needle through the weep holes and pump in the primer...tape or put your finger on the hole,spin,shake,and turn...to coat,then pour out excess....it should be good and surrive another 20+ years..i have done several of my old scoots with excellent results....

that is amazing and beautiful work.....
the only thing that scares me (and mind you im not saying you would do this) is that products could be fixed like this and sold to someone without mentioning any previous damage.
sorta like buying a water damaged flood car.
