It's an 85, but they didn't come with 3 piece cranks, they must've been added later on. Got any pics?

If memory serves correct, Pro Performer Bars, GT Block Stem w/ thru-bolt, Dia Compe mx-1000, Tuffs, Comp IIIs, SR tubular 1-peice, SR platforms, GT Layback and a Kashimax seat. Some type of A'me grip which I cannot recall. Tri's maybe. Yellow and Blue were popular colors, Blue and White, White w/ white.

The grips were A'me tris but the wheels were the GT mag wheels, not tuffs.

Those were put out after the 85 model year. Tuff Wheels were on there up till. 1987 got the GT Mag Wheel.

not sure if this is stock but i found these examples:

{my text} "their text"

{a'me tri's}
[url="http://bmxmuseum.com/image/misc_039_lg.jpg"]

"GT frame / fork, GT handlebars, GT seatpost, Tuf Neck power disc and chainring, Sugino cranks, Dia Compe Nippn brakes, Dia Compe seatpost clamp, Odyssey Barefeet tires, Skyway mags, Shot Gun II seat, AME grips, Bear Trap pedals."

{not extactly nos but i like the color setup}

"this is an 85 pro performer with a new style decal kit that matched my color scheme.it is a mix of old & new! old gt frame,forks,cainring,seat,post,stem,hoops & tires.the new is mohawk hubs,4peice bars,seat clamp,grips,gt cranks,gt pedals & decals. i tried to keep it all gt,but i've never seen a yellow gt set or grips!"

{a'me tri's, blue n yellow baby}

"It's been a real learning experience for me. Upon realizing the differences between the 85 and 84 models and also discovering the 85 is from japan i decided to make a rider out of this one and keep searching for a USA made 84 to make a replica of my childhood bike."

{a'me tri's}

"I JUST PICKED UP THIS SWEET RIDE, ALL ORIG. EVEN THE TIRES WITH MINIMAL DRY ROT, WAS HOPING SOMEONE COULD TELL ME EXACT YEAR. THE TOP FRAME STAND TUBES ARE NOT LEVEL WITH TOP TUBE LIKE THE 85's BUT THE COMPONENTS LIKE BARS, NECK SEEM TO BE 85. "
