And the kid on the Rhino ,is Noel JR..LOL to match the other rhino....two bikes that blew me away at Knox...dam they were nice..
And then Chris rides past on that Patterson long as we were packing up...It was un-stickered and my head nearly twisted straight OFF..

The shirts were Volcano's idea, now that we know people want 'em, mostly big people, Mick can get started on the design.
Now remember Mick, make all the shirts XL except for Stu's, he's a medium.

Sounds like a plan mate. Better pack a sleeping bag.
Hey - any of you fellas got any tips for taking a bike on a plane? I'm thinking box it up the way I would to mail it.
Jarvi
Feb 25 2009, 01:45 PM
Kurt, just go to a bike shop and get a box that would have had a 20" complete in it. Qantas should take it no problems (if the plane is one of the decent sized ones) and you don't have to dismantle a lot and most of it stays pretty tight in the box.
Not sure about the other airlines and like I said, depends on the plane a bit too. Might pay to ask some questions beforehand.

Feb 25 2009, 02:43 PM
JetStar let you take them on ok too. You can actually take 4 for no extra charge as they only hit you a max of 5kg per bike. Trouble is carting the buggers around.
JMCGT
Feb 25 2009, 10:08 PM
yeh true...20 kg ..last one i took,i put into a 24 " bike box...the airports also provide boxes...although better to have it done before hand..
24" crusier box means, just take the pedals off...seat can stay...and losen off the bars and stem and lay down..too easy, bugger all wrapping..
Kurt.

I'm flying Virgin. Have paid for 23kg worth of luggage which should be heaps - won't need many clothes! Flying from mid-winter Tassie weather to 20 degree Brissy - All I'll need is shorts and t'shirts. I arrive lunchtime Saturday and don't fly out till 5:00 PM Monday night.

The Colmslie Hotel is very near by, you could ride to the show, unless your tyres are "winner's choice".
I haven't stayed there but I've eaten there a few times and once attended a business seminar, everything is brand new and tidy.
