broke L345
I've been going at this for a while now and it's so close to being done. I took some pics of it today and I'm so happy with it, I had to share.

I need a gold Weinmann brake caliper, I had a 1080 but it was way too big. I also need a bone stock chrome seat post clamp. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the post I have, or the frame, but it only slides in an inch or so before it jams up. I hope to sort that out soon.

Thanks for looking and indulging me for being impatient.

Awesome broke'....!

I've got a very similar G-Boy that's been in the wings for "a while" as well.

Looks like a super lightweight bike. The Weinmanns look great too!

Wondering if there were any "crank to chain stay" clearance issues?

Nice work,

I bet you are chomping at the bits. Good for you bro,

Traveller

Great bike and great colors. I like this style (7b/weinmann) of rim also. I wish someone would make a modern double wall that had this style. I also like the perforated plate. I had forgot about those.

Thanks every one,

I just woke up down here in Australia so I'll try to answer some Q's.

it's a 77 Gboy stout although the serial number is stamped 78 so maybe it is '78.

I'm not sure if weinmann 1000's are correct era but if they are, I would love them. (info please).

with the cranks, I had to put the chain wheel in the inside of the spider, because it wasn't lining up propperly with the freewheel.

Thanks again for all your comments.

Cheers,

oh Monster thanks, The Matthews and this have been rolling for a while, it's good to get them done.

nice looking bike!!,,,,let us know what you come up with on the seatpost issue......im assuming its 7/8th post size?,,,on my cook bros I had the same problem, the frame was slightly corroded inside the seat tube,,,,some medium sand paper wrapped around a small diameter peice of pipe did the trick, didnt take much and it was fine,,,claude

Oops, sorry Christian, I knew that already...one to many deep breaths of Caustic Soda!! They are the rims I sold you, yeah? They look sweet as!!
broke L345
Yeah that's them, I wanted them gold so Waz had them annodized and by some miracle they turned out the exact match to the weinmann lever I had baught. They came up great, thanks they're a beutiful set of rims.

Racer xlt, post some more pics. do you have any history information on them?

cheers.

That is just stunning.
The color combo is perfect - not too much of one color, or too little of another. I'd say it's the best build we have seen around here in a long time.
