Dude – You just made my night. IMO that's the perfect 85/86 Ripper. Do you have the factory stickers or do you have repo's. of the correct stickers saved. If you have repo's., could you tell me who makes a set for that year. I'm hoping to find out because I'm build the exact same bike. The Frame & Fork are at the powder coaters right now. I'm having them done white on white but after see your chrome forks, I don't know. You beat me to alot of the same ideas I had, so now I'll have to re-thing it to change it up a bit. I have some sick parts set a side, it should be sweet. Hope mine comes out as nice.

LOL B. Apold, speaking of jumping in the pool.,.,.,.,I was in the middle of taking the last pic of the forks, when I noticed it was slowly leaning into the pool. I jumped up in time to catch it, but the left grip hit the water. LOL.

Thanks Ted. I have the factory stickers. The correct ones for this year are the sliver drip decals. This was the first year of them. I'm digging the chrome forks. Helped the build out better for me then white one's..

Only thing about this frame is the straight chain stays. I have a few sets of Profile cranks I wanted to use on it, but they wont fit. I don't have any 175, but I doubt those would have fit either. And cant use Maxie's because I just bend the crap out of them, esp now. So it had to be a 1 piecer, but I'm still happy with the turn out.

OH Crap! I didn't think about the straight chain stays. I just spent a small fortune for a set of Bullseye cranks. They're 172's, sure hope they fit. ohmy.gif

Great build!

I didnt have anything smaller then a 180 in 3 peice crank size to see if a smaller would work. I dont own, or run anything under 180.

Thanks Crisco

Nice looking PK you have there. Clean and functional. Very understated in a good way.

Did you drain the pool and ride it after the shoot?

That looks great. Love the chrome and white.
JMOORE
Very Nice! I love the white with black "Zebra" look on any bmx, especially the PK and the bits of chrome really set it off nicely on that bike!

LOL! Too bad most of the pools these days are partly pre fabbed rectangles with flat 90's for walls! sad.gif

Thanks sonikk

Thanks JMOORE

Lucky for me, my pool was built in the 70's, and is 10 ft deep

Thank god you caught it. The only problem with having bikes this nice around are the "what ifs" I built a nice 82 GT Pro... 70.00 for real GT decals, phils, Avocets, Hutch bars, you name it, but I never felt comfortable taking it off the hook for fear the decals might get dust on them (LMAO), so I sold it. Once the older daughters are off the college (one this Fall) I'll have most of the basement back and then I'll try again.

Again, awesome ride!!!!
