God bless the boys at Holden and Lutz for bringing it here. A funny little story about the Monaro is that it was designed "off the clock". See aussies are cool (they have gone 318mph on the water). If you can dream it, chances are an aussie dreampt it and built it -30 years ago.

Anyway, when Holden approached it's designers about a new performace car, the designers had already designed it. -The Manaro, in their time off.

Gee, how does an American know this kinda stuff?

The Monaro has clean, quality, timeless lines in the same vien as the '92-2002 JDM RX-7 FD.

Zo6s are nothing to mess with, either. But I don't like GTs (BMX) and I don't like yellow.

I actually don't own this one anymore, but I have another just like it with the old paint (no pics of it yet). This is an old pic at a contest before it was painted...

And here it is after paint.

Cool thread Stu!

Look what Santa brought me....

When I heard the General was in trouble, I came a running... to the nearest HSV dealer. Not that my small purchase will save GM but hey, now's the best time to buy a V8.

I thought I better include some BMX in here to keep this thread from being canned.

I just finished installing the DVD player and sound system in the tray for those romantic weekend getaways.

I've been a very good boy this year indeed. Now it's time to be bad cool.gif
Lonewolf
I'll put this up against your GM products (including that ZO6) any day...

Rob that ute is very cool. Does it do doughys like the green machine?
I've settled down a bit with cars. Getting too expensive to play cars.
My only car these days.

My previous toy, I owned this for 13 years. Very sad day when she went.

A small gathering of VL's.. I'm still a mod on Calaisturbo.com too. LOL
AdrianH
Hey Roberto, what colour you gonna powder it lol. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Heres my toys had them all since new and can't justify updating them at the moment especially when the performance would be similar.
MY99 WRX STI (MRT Enhanced)

03 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa , 97 Yamaha WR250Z (Ported balanced, Boysen Carbon Reed block, Pro Curcuit Pipe and silencer, Gold valved forks and heaps more i cant remember LOL)

Whoa Rob, I was wondering when that one was coming through...sweeeet...when are you going to visit Capa???

Lonewolf that Rotor is the business too! I've had both rotors and hsv's and I can totally appreciate both...

Actually, like Glenn, I also love a VL as well...I'm gunna have to scan some photo's of my old cars ...keep em' coming, I know there is always a link between BMX and nice cars...generally we all got out of BMX the first for our first cars...funny how things turn full circles...
ROBERTO
Geez Matt.... MRBMX nuber plates, you've gone all out.

Not seeing a lot of Ford action here, I know you guys are out there, let's see 'em.

Adrian, I might hold off on the powder coating for a little while. biggrin.gif

Wow Robert that looks fantastic and a nice present after a year of working hard I guess.

JMCGT

I remember the first night i had the Grange..nearly put it through the front of a Pizza shop ..
Jarvi
Just about everyone has seen the only photo I have of mine so here are a couple taken after getting home yesterday. Unlike a few of my bikes, this one isn't a garage queen and even had a bit of fun on a gravel road on the way up to Jindabyne last Wednesday.

The front wheels were both full of bugs stuck to the rims.

COASTY
OMG! I have never seen a porsche in that state before. Thats a serious cleaning job. Degreaser works wonders on bugs.

I like it. If you don't use it you are just leaving it for the next owner to enjoy.

Well...here's mine.

1998 Holden (Chevy) Suburban, Whipple Supercharged 5.7L with Mercruiser Marine intake, and LOTS of other goodies.
Seems I don't have anything much in the way of upto date pic's.

Bought this as a daily (petrol saver) to and from work car.
