It was 1986, we were headed to the local ramps in my '74 Datsun mini truck, back window plastered with bmx stickers, full of kids and brightly colored bmx bikes, blasting the new Metallica album...good times.
Now it's 2008, we were headed to the local ramps (now at a real skatepark instead of a sketchy halfpipe in the woods) in my '01 Nissan minitruck, back window plastered with bmx stickers, full of kids (2 of them mine) and brightly colored bmx bikes, blasting the new Metallica album (Death Magnetic instead of Master of Puppets- my kids got it for me for Christmas)...still good times.
My kids were wondering what I was randomly laughing about. As Neil Peart so eloquently said..."Plus ce change, plus cest la meme chose". The more that things change, the more they stay the same.
