This is my ET project that I am currently doing and I trusted the Red to Roberto from Lewis & sons powdercoaters and I have to say this is a 10/10 awesome paint job!!!!
The photos dont do it justice, I feel Like I have to go and buy a decent camera now just to take pics of his work!!!! I will be getting the white done locally in the new year

This is how it was when I got it

Roberto is an artist, no question.

Booyah Reece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome mate....Roberto is a magician!
You keeping his sticker on the forks?...hehe
QuicksilverBMX
Devistated.
Well, I went to pick up my ET today and lets just say the photos make it look half decent. I now have to find a way to strip the f****d up white paint job and find someone to re-do it properly. I just hope it doesnt spoil Roberto's nice podwer job otherwise it may have to be fully re-done again. I am not going to into every detail of the transaction, lets just say I could have done it better myself. The 5th pic is my original finish ET next to the new one, slighty on the pi$$ maybe?

oh my god, what the hell? Im speechless, it was beautiful...
I hope that white comes off okey, Im cross my fingers for ya.
Jarvi
What makes it even worse is the masking mark on the head tube fade. If you look closely you can see a line a couple of centimetres from the edge where it goes from solid white.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Reece.
Kurt.
Good luck mate. Shiity luck.

Sorry to see you struck such a retard...that is vandalism! Idiot! I'm sure it is devistating at the moment but you know it is just a hicup which you will resolve and will just make the completed build so much more satisfying....

Hi Reece, long time no talking...man, sorry to see and hear about that white paint. Hope it works out...I always wanted an ET too. Take care

I hate to say it but that looks like the work of a spray can. I can't believe someone could be such a d1ck
hutchtj
Has that been done by a so called professional? If so he needs to find a new career. He could start at the auto wreckers.
jipster43
Wow. That stings.

Update today!

After getting the whole frame stripped back, I sent to Robertos and he totally nailed the White using powdercoating! The guy is a true artist and perfectionist! Unfortunatley he had to do the red as well again beacuse of the previous idiot (see above)
Once again my crappy camera doesnt do this frame justice, this is 10/10 and I highly recommend anyone getting their ET in a FULL powdercoat (this is his first ET frame and results speak for themselves)

Lonewolf
Roberto is obviously a genius and the 'Tard who screwed your stuff up with what is obviously a hack spray paint job, needs to be gone after. He totally screwed it up and if he was a real pro, he would have known better.

The "blunt force impact splatter" is what all spray paint cans do when they are nearly empty.- Criminal.

Looks great, good luck with the rest of the build.
Kurt.
Congrats Reece - pleased you got the job you deserved on that baby. Roberto is top notch.

Excellent dude!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Roberto knocked one out of the park both times! Nice save!

That is gut wrenching what the guy did with that white. I'm glad it got all worked out for you.

That looks awesome, better than new! Did you have him do the forks?
Can't wait to see the bike when it's completed.
Jarvi
Great ending to the story Reece. Was speaking with Robert about that one yesterday and saw a small sample before he did the entire frame. It looked great.

Yep! Forks are on the way soon, I have all the parts to complete this build as well!

Cool bike. I wasn't sure where to post these, so here seemed good. This is the ET bike in the lobby of ILM in San Francisco (Presidio). They said it was the actual bike from the movie (Check the bracket for lifting the bike for "flight"). It has some light rust so it appeared it sat somewhere for a period of time.
