circa 1986-87

after I did good in 1985 in the ABA winning a few small Nationals and my local title
I was approached by a team called TRS Unlimited/Prime

It was run by a guy named Dave Little from Kansas.
Turnell Henry had something to do with them back then with the
Prime racing. plates, visors, jersey's and soon pants.

even Scott Clark gave us pads from SCP (dont now how long that was around for)
  • SCP (Scott Clark Products): June 1986-August 1986. Failing to get a sponsor, Scott Clark retires from racing during the summer of 1986.

they had a Pro racing for them named Lonnie Moore and a 15x named Gene Cook.
I was there 17x.

I *thought the bike was made from the same people who made the Zeronine or Cyclecraft frames, but never really rode either of them.

and "yes" that's a Members Only jacket I was wearing in practice at the Dixieland National..it was 30 out and cold in there....lol

Brian,

It wasn't Turnell it was Greg Turnage. I sent him a link to your post, he's Gregtnorcal on this board but he hasn't been on in a few months. Do you still have those pants, could you take some better/bigger pictures of them?

Dave,

nice pad picture. wish I still had mine. the few sets I had are gone. washed and peeled apart, the other set went with the bike when I gave it to a local kid that didn't have a bike.

Andy,

oooops, as you can see I forgot his name. I only met him a few times. don't know where I got Turnell from.
I cant edit post to make it accurate.

Thanks.

Great shots! Cool looking bike! It looked like a serious effort.

my CRS made me think Greg Turnage was Turnell Henry...lol

but after thinking about it more I know when I got lost. didn't Turnell race for a team KHS?

all these Abrv. got me Cornfuzed!
BShute
Randy,

when I get home later I will post better pictures of the pants.
he had gave me some Haro pants since I liked them until Greg was able to get me the Prime pants.

yes, i have a brochure i got on oct 29, 1983, when i raced the son at the 6th annual kar city big wheels open, in cedar rapids ia.
it was their first effort, it was a trip. one frame, change your wheels, 16/20, or 20/24 in wheels.
your bike is way better.

hey Greg, nice to hear from you.
I didn't keep the frames. I gave my bike to a kid that was starting out racing when I quit and a frame to another rider in need. just have pictures which is good enough for me.

so you still talk to Dave Little?
I'm going to post a picture in a bit after I scan it of him in Riverside when we went to Lake Elsinore Super Track...your gonna cry when you see it.

BShute
here you go.
the first is Dave with all his stuff.....lol
and the second is me in 1985 at the hotel relaxing.
