Got this today. Redline MX(?) Good Chrome a couple of dents. No brace behind BB. No oval stamp on BB. Serial 022802 This should be a slam dunk for somebody. The guy that gave it to me thinks he bought it in 1981(?) Also is this an MCS stem?
Not looking to sell. This will go next to the other bikes in my garage. I'm the equivelint of the crazy neighborhood cat lady with BMX bikes.

Agreed, later (83?) production bike - maybe an early MCS stem?
Ken Pliska
US Made MX-II and he is probably correct on the 1981 purchase time. I'd have to look at a few of mine to see where yours falls in line with serial numbers from that vintage.

Love the early Scrambler Sprocket on it smile.gif

Agree with 81 MX II. Dude, you should restore that thing and ride it like a biotch. Unless you are like 6 foot tall. Still, I love MX II's. Find some old flites or some sugino 400s, slap some Arayas with whatever hubs, some Suntour pedals and ride. Restore that stem too.

Agree its probably a MCS stem.
