Does anyone out there (pro or am) have any advice about coming back after bmx related injuries. People tell me it is mental but after a nasty crash on my cruiser in april and then two crashes at Grands, i think it is more than just a mental issue. i came back after my cruiser crash but everyone at the track said i rode the bike like i had never rode before (very slow and cautious). I am afraid of crashing and seriously injuring myself, that is the bottom line. I love riding, racing, etc, but there comes a time to figure out if it is worth is anymore because of the injury risk. If anyone has some advice please let me know.

you say you "afraid" of crashing and injury,so it's a mental thing that's holding you back.
"if it's worth it"?? = only you can make that call

What you're going through it normal and all part of the process. Don't be too hard on yourself, just remember to keep it fun and you'll be back to your old self in no time, promise.

Yeah, I'm a little cautious anymore, too. Sometimes if it comes to a dicey situation on the track or on my mountain bike, I think to myself, yeah, I can probably make it, but if I don't, it's going to hurt. Sometimes I decide it's better just not to push it and end my ride with a smile thinking, "Man, was that fun!" Rather than, "Damn I'm hurt. I wish I hadn't done that."
