Axle nuts?
OzMan

I am a newbie when it comes to BMX and cruisers. But am keen to buy an OM Flyer.

Can someone tell me if the parts / spec's on the 09 Model are better than the 08. As on one of these forums, nearly everyone was changing everything on the 08 (looked fantastic)??

I do not mind spending a few extra dollars to make the bike better (in ride and looks)but was interested to know if the changes are necessary.

It will primary be used to cruise around with the local kids, when I take them down to the local tracks.

Cheers.

Mayfield, looks good man! Info on that seat?

The seat is a NOS brown suede number from back in the day. The brand is "Arius", and the model is "Grand Carrera Special". I'm pretty sure it is a euro manufacturer. I went with suede as a lot of the old school "big bikes" rocked that type of seat. I know the KOS came with a suede Mongoose seat and I've seen pic's of Scot B riding with one.

I'm digging the OM ton's.................it rides sweet. I am going to do more to give it additional OS vibe, starting with black tires, Oakley B2's etc...

I have 3 other builds that I hope to post in the near future as they get completed. Thanks for the compliments!

Picked up the Woody this week.

Swapped out the blah silver pedals for some brown Animals.

The grips will probably be next. They look cool, but feel kinda weird. Almost like bamboo. Fits with the bike, but I'm not sure I can go flangeless. cool.gif

The decals are cool too. The OM decal on the down tube almost looks like it was "burned" into the wood. Same with the LG decals. Cool touch TL!

You beat me too it! I picked-up my WGOM on Saturday and took it to the local pump track this afternoon for a few rounds. The locals were in awe with this bike it looks so different in person and really stands out in a crowd. I will post some pics later this week.

Well done!

Here's a quick pic of my Wood Grain OM. I've added an S&M Slim Seat and a Black/Gold SE padset.

Enjoy...

Peep the Woodgrain rims! I hope nobody gets a splinter. Ha ha...

Peep the Woodgrain REAL wood grips! I have no idea who makes 'em or how much they are. But if you hunt around, you can probably find 'em. They're actually kind of comfy. Just for cruisin' of course....

woot...I will post-up pics later, but my girl likes the OM so much, I am taking her to pick-up a blue one today. It will be pretty nice to have both a blue and WG in the house.

I gotta figure out how to post some pics but I love my blue OM. Just got it a couple weeks ago and I'm making a few minor upgrades. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
