I'm curious to know what year did the "pretzel" bars come out and where they on every compe or just certain models?

the pretzel bars came out in 1987. not sure what bikes got them then, but by 1988 the detour had a steel version, the "pro compe" and "team model" had the crmo ones.
the plain "compe" never came stock with them.
