Am buying what am told are Tuff 1s......whats the diff. between the two??


Sorry if this is idiotic, I just dont know.

assuming the wheels you are buying do not have a "Tuff I" or "Tuff II" stamp (not all did)...

...go up to the top of the page and click on "bmx museum". in the 1978-79 section there are 2 Roger Decoster bikes with yellow Tuff 1s with good clear pics of the wheels.

the hub area is the key, look at them closely. Tuff 1s all looked like these pics. if the wheels you're buying have different looking hubs, they are not Tuff 1s.
