there was one on ebay that was listed kinda weird so i don't think a lot of people saw it. i tried to get it but was outbid. the winning bid was 136 or something close to that. seems to me someone got a real good deal. my max bid was 120. damn.

I just sold one of mine for 160.00 plus shipping. I was watching that too....didnt look like it was in too good of shape though? I have another one I could sell you if interested. Its an 86 just like the one on the Bay. The frame is chrome and in very good shape and the forks are black....the ones with the welded foot pegs. Id sell it for around the same price the one on Ebay sold for. LMK if interested.

Man. Lot of new members with variations of the "What's it worth?" question.
Check the FAQ's please.

i wasnt asking what it's worth for purposes of making a buck. just wanted to know if i screwed myself out of a good deal by not bidding just a couple of bucks higher or if my bid was about right. and i have read the faq's.

I was ready to bid on that cali f/f on ebay, the fork had the rare double pegs so it was a good deal IMO.
I bought my last 86 Cali on ebay in Sept. for $140 complete in survivor condition, that was a good deal.

i would think value fluctuates, depending on which generation it is and what condition.
i paid $300something for a second gen (the 1st after the luggage racks) F/F/bars in "show-built" condition. i thought that was a pretty good deal.

hmm looks like this is going to be the way to go for my first build instead of a RL20II. i just don't think i can swing the dough for the redline in the next year. i was thinking the CW's would be almost as much since they seem to be kinda rare.

I would rather have the CW Freestyler, they seem more rare and less popular than the RL20ll.
Good luck with the search and build.
