Send it my way, I will inspect it for you and you will have piece of mind knowing that it was garbage.

Really, is it for sale?

Sorry, in my excitment i forgot to say what I believe this fork to be.

With a good level of confidence I would say it is a Maximum fork. A couple more pictures and measurements and I could verify it as I have one in my garage.

Thanks, and yes I could use one; the chrome is peeling on mine.

That puts it in '83-'85.

I have a few pictures, but the file size is too big. Any help and I am happy to contribute.

Just posting it for a mate...legs look to be square of the steertube..like Gt and Boss ,Patterson..
Maximum hey??

Is that 1-1/8" unthreaded?

Not any GT fork that I have seen with that mid-hole. Dropouts do look 80's GT, Revcore, ELF, CW etc but not with 1-1/8" steerer, or that funky half-moon hole.

If I remember right GT was somehow involved with Maximum. It should be 1" threaded with brake hole drilled. If someone frops me an email address I will send a photo of mine and you can post it. Sorry I'm an idiot in that dept.!

That's a positive:

well that's cool then - you don't see a lot of Maximum stuff - a shame really.

They do look very 'GT' in geometry.
