I think I still have a pair of those Oakley Razorblade sunnies...hehe

Ha! One of the most endearing traits of Australian English is taking an everyday thing like sun glasses, and then giving it a nickname as though it was one of your best friends (i.e. "sunnies").

Please understand I'm not ripping on Aussie English. I just appreciate little differences like that.

Awesome pictures! Man, that riding spot near the ocean looks amazing. I could imagine riding there from morning to sunset back in the day.

Man...this thread has taken 20 yrs off my attitude. All these pics just bring a smile to my face. Just like being back there 20-25 years ago. God bless you.

Glad you like them Ross!

I'm putting all the pics together on discs to send out to the boys. Matt will be easy to track down but Kim may be the hard one. Last I heard he was into hang gliding but still in South OZ.....There is still more to come!

And the worst fashion sense award has to go to the dude on the Bully bashguard in the first picture of Scott's last post. Look at it for too long and you may end up in a padded room...

Ah yes, that is Billbo....persistent herbalife rep & P.J.fashion setter. Top dude, nice guy & that WAS the 80's. Hopefully.

This thread = gold! Wonderful time capsule shots, thanks for sharing. I am about 10 years behind in scanning my old negs and slides. One of these days...

Great pics Scotty. Good to see you here. Pity you couldn't make it on the weekend?
serva
He he, I was there, said hi to you glenno but you didn't hear me. You had just arrived and was on a mission so thought I would catch you after, but bailed because the boy was bored. Got to have a quick chat with your son though...lol Congrats on the win!

HOLY CRAP! This thread is awesome on multiple levels. I agree that double decade shot is unbelievable, worthy of BMX Action / Freestylin' publishing for sure.

and WELCOME BACK Scott! It's been too long without you around here. Heck, if guys like you start coming back regularly I may return more frequently again. This is an aweseome thread indeed!

serva
Hi Mike,

Good to see you again mate. Yes it would be great to get the team back together! I would like to spend some more time here, I just cant stay away no matter how hard I try ( I'm not really trying, it just sounded more dramatic that way)

serva

What year are these btw, 1992? And wouldn't mind reading who's who in each pic.
COASTY

That is exactly the same look in the photo I have on my phone that you took. Must be your Derek Zoolander signature look.

cant remember what year this is but i just got back into riding, I probably wouldnt have ridin this frame knowing what i know now. it was a first or second gem haro master frame!!!!
serva
James! I guess its how I want to be remembered...peace out yo, and there is nothing to worry about, I was just able to remove the chinese thumb lock.... laugh.gif

Thanks spicoli...gonna try and hang for a while this time

Dont worry Glenn I knew you had just been driving for hours wink.gif

Timo!! Your right, I will put some names to faces. Most of the pics are from around 91-92 as I guess the F.C.A really had their crap together, but some pics are from as early as 86.

On that note I think I should intoduce to you (drum roll)....BIG R (Rod). Rod was there right from the start and always had his own style ( I think he had a Van Halen twang going on... biggrin.gif ). We wouldnt be looking at these pics with out his help. The man ( boy ) was built like a brick s**t house ( sorry for the aussie slang ) and going big was his game.....a few pics of BIG R in his prime smile.gif

The bowl he is jumping out of was at Fularton and he may as well been jumping out of hell its self. As I remeber that was an circular 8ft bowl of death! The bus was a usual weekend school sesh.....they were the days

I wanted to add this up quickly. I sent a copy of these pics to Matt Holmes for xmas. Matt is the owner of a great bmx shop in Sydney called Hell on Wheels and is also the editor for the best bmx magazine in Australia called 20/20. I never really looked at my roll in all of this but it was nice to hear Matt's perspective. This was the editors note for the sept 2009 issue. Am I stoked to have a mention and a pic in a real life bmx magazine? HECK YEAH!!! Matt, if you ever read this....thanks man smile.gif
I'm not sure this will be readable but here it goes...

serva
Bugger, maybe this will work....
