I need to relace my Peregrine Super Pro 48s with new spokes. I have the stock front hub and an RL EDGE hub in the rear.

Does anyone know the length and type spokes I need?

Thanks a lot!

Um. What does that mean? 185mm? And I cross the laces four times? What gauge spokes? 14?

Is this something my local shop carries or should I order them somewhere special?

Thanks guys.

185mm in length, or that is also 7.28 inches. Any bike shop that builds wheels will have the spoke. Try to get stainless, they will last and look the best.

4-Cross means that the spokes will cross each other in 4 places.

I used 184mm front and 182mm rear on a set of Peregrine HP's built with Peregirne(Ukai) sealed bearing hubs. 184mm is a safe bet for both wheels.

Super Pros (with Ukai made rims and Suzue made sealed hubs) came with chrome plated spokes which are next to impossible to find. You can find polished ones though which will look *almost* as good.

Problem is that my wheels currently have lots of different types of spokes in them. Every once in a while a spoke or three would snap and I'd replace them with whatever the shop had around. Some of my spokes are chrome, some silver, some double butted, etc. This was all way back in the 80s.

So now I just want to totally respoke the wheels so everything matches.

How do those Odyssey spokes look in these wheels? I looked for stainless spokes and that's what I found. I guess I could polish them up a little before lacing them up? To shine like chrome?

What do you guys use?

I have a set of Odyssey stainless spokes and they are close to the chrome spokes. I polished a couple with a soft cloth and Mothers metal polish and they look even shinier. A friend told me if I use a Dremil tool they come out even better.

Yeah, mothers is great. I used some on my aluminum TNT neck last night and it looks like chrome.

Now I'm off to the shop to hunt down those spokes...

Andy43 Sorry I loged off early last night to_take_umbrage.gif I used DT double butted Stainless spokes with DT Alloy nipples good2.gif for my wheels they worked real good and the size was 185mm for front and back you can go with the size Crowe-t said but if you dont have a long enough spoke nipple if you ride hard on the wheels the spokes can pull out of the nipples in some cases.
