I just put together my new Hyper Pro XXL (22" top tube). My problem is that when I took my Avid single digit 7s off of my Staats and put them on the Hyper I could not get the brake shoes to touch the rim with the wheel slammed. So I had to move the wheel back much further then I would like about an inch.

So my question is has anyone used a Bombshell VPS (v-brake Positioning system) and do they work on a bike of this size or are they mostly for minis and Jrs? unsure.gif

The VPS's are $40. A body of mine who has the same frame size a me runs FMF brakes with the wheel slammed. I cannot find those anywhere but it looks like LDCs or Paul Moto brakes will have the amount of adjustability that I need. If I have to I'll just spend the $40 to $60 extra and get the LDC's or Motos.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Personally I would put new ones on with more reach than use the VPS but if money is tight they will work. Remember that is 2 more bolts you have to keep checking. I know with the Crupi frames they won't work with the supplied bolts due to a different size than the brake studs

Here you go on the FMF brakes, good price too.

....Better hurry though, ends in a couple days. Good Luck, keep us posted. I'm curious how well these brakes work.

Thanks for the input.

BMXdad3 having more bolts that need adjusted is what concerned me and I didn't want to risk them not fitting and delaying when I have this bike dialed.

Cruiserxx, I looked and those FMF's that is a great deal but I thought I would just splurge and get the Paul Motos they look better.
