"Ok" boys and girls, I am finally ready to start building my looptail Quad that sits in the cabinet calling out to me every day to build her. So far I have a set of full wrap no pinch flights for cranks, SE bars, and some N.O.S. ARAYA's with comp 3's on them, a TANGE headset, and a SE RACING seat. I also have a Tufneck, some KKT lightnings, and a set of Oakley 3's.
Now this is the reason for my post. You know what I already have, some era correct parts and some not. I need some good ideas to make this baby era correct. #1 What grips would be era correct? #2 Was a stamped Tufneck era correct (I don't think so). So as you see I am not exactly sure what would be exactly era correct and what would not be. I could easile slap everything together today and be done, but for the first time I actually want EVERYTHING to be era correct for this one- even the tires. I actually have some Schwinn SX1000 tires that have the snakebelly pattern that I was thinking about using instead of the Comp 3's. Ideas anybody??? Thank you, Pat.
