I moved to Bakes in 1998. From then to about 2004 (or so) I only raced a few times a year. Just rode trails weekly.

There are some cool trails in Bakersfield, nothing up here in the Tri Cities. My father in law and I started a track up here though, and I was the T.O. for Walla Walla also tell about a year and a half ago, and now I want to take over the track my family started, but I still wish we had trails up here......

So, everybody's had a chance to look around, see some of the locals, drink in the local flavor? Good.
Next stop we're on our way to the International section of the forum. Here nobody is from here, they're all from somewhere else. Here you'll find a warm welcome, but remember different cultures have different standards, so mind your manners!

So, I hope everyone's had time to enjoy the international flavor of the Worldwide BMX forum. As soon as we get this head started, lets get back on the road, things to see you know.
So, up to speed? In the drops, as it were? Let's head on over to Road Racing. We're in to bike, so are they, but instead of a 40 second lap, they deal in long-haul. What's that? Question in the back?
Oh no, no, they're not starving. They probably eat more than most of us. It's just the lack of body fat makes them look that way.

Heck no.... I'm jumping into this modern gear full force.
Not any straps gonna hold my feet down. I need CLIPS man.
You all can stay in the stone age all you want.
I want the technological advantage. ( I need all the help I can get. )
Toe straps ARE clip pedals.
Real vintage road bikes and vintage mtbs used 'em.
If your definition of vintage mtbs goes into the early '90s, then we'll include the introduction of the Shimano SPD clipless system...

I'll put my toe strap skills up against anyone on the forum (as also my lust for an MB-1). I even have the shoes for straps (they're French).
Ah, but enough about me.
I've been thinking, while we're in this neighborhood, the least we could do it swing by the Retro group. Here's the thing: Old was good, but new don't break. Can one go forward and back in time at the identical moment? You should ask!
Ask the Retro forum.
Nobody say "FM Flyer", OK?
