I was just looking at www.dkbicycles.com. They have some really cool looking finishes on some of their new frames and parts. I'm partial to the Octane race frames, but some of their freestyle frames look really nice, too. Interesting paint/anodizing. Check it out.

"R", I've always been impressed (as a shop owner) with DK year in and year out. I think this year's '09 lineup is pretty cool. I had a powder blue '09 DK Reaction in here the other day for a customer- it was a neat bike!

Some years I really like the DK stuff, other years I sometimes wonder what they did with the cool designs from the year before. I know these companies have to have the cheaper tri-moly stuff for kids and entry level riders, but it seemed like they were putting out a lot of low-end tri-moly products for a while. It looks like they've gotten away from that this year.

I much prefer the frames and parts to the completes, they're maybe a little higher quality. I built my Torker racer back in 2002 with DK forks, stem and bars -- good stuff.

DK is an old school company that knows how to do things right, overall. I wonder why they don't get as many props on this website. Maybe it's because they didn't make bikes BITD, just parts.
