First pulled 720 I know of is Blyther at the worlds in Canada 1986. He over rotated a 540, slid out and then rode out backwards. Jumping- I'd say Voelker by 1988.

I know 720's were done long before 88 for sure. I was doing them in the early 80s'. I'm not talking about jump to jump though, I'm just talking about either jumping out of a bowl, flyouts, etc. There is a sequence of me doing one in BMX plus way back when, but I have no idea which issue.
On a vert ramp, the only person I ever saw pull one was Brian B at the worlds as Brett mentioned. I was standing about 20 feet away when it happened. Pretty cool to see.
On dirt going from jump to jump I would go with Chris M.

McCoy did them a lot.
Later, Rob Nolli had them so ridiculously dialed on big box jumps that he made it look too easy, and people/judges seemed to overlook it.

Rob Nolli made everything look easy.
It's crazy to remember how much crazy jumping Woody used to do.
I remember a pic of him waaaay back doing a huge tuck no-hander and grabbing his front wheel with one of his hands.
Might have been before Hutch even.
Super BMX maybe??
Evry time I ever try a 720, I barely can get to 450.
Which is weird because I can do 540's.

There were a couple of people up here in Canada that did 720's before 88 and I remember seeing a guy fluke on out on a halfpipe here around 86-87

First tooth I ever damaged was on a skateboard in the early 70's. Years later I busted out that same tooth when I hit my face on my crossbar doing a 720 from pretty high up and when I landed my hand slipped. That tooth was the primary inspiration for the lower cross bar on my personal bars down the line. That and doing bar hops for flatland.

LOL Woody, bustin' teeth alone sounds like a primary inspiratin for flatland
