Hey there,
So I scored this Patterson F/F on Ebay around eight years ago, and it's been kicking around since then. Am trying to identify the forks, specifically, as I am not sure they are Pattersons. The frame seems to be, although I don't think it's the one I rode in the 80s. The serial number is stamped on the bottom side of the bottom bracket, it's 02994. Is this a Patterson serial #? Have been trying to locate a serial number reference online, but had no luck.
Anyone with opinions, advice, etc, please weigh in.

I'm not familiar with Patterson serial numbers, but the forks look like MCS.

Yours is without a doubt a 1982. Chrome, hole in the BB brace, round brake bridge...'82. And those are Patterson forks. Best Patterson they ever made IMO.

Wow, your bike is beautiful! I had the long frame back then too. That was the best racing bike I had. You slithered over jumps when you rode it, it was so low.

Thanks for everybody's input. I was thinking of selling it, but am now leaning towards finally restoring and riding again. (Seeing too many wannabe gangster teens in my neighborhood that can't do a decent 360 to save their life! )
