This is one of the few bikes on this site that makes me want a 20"er again! The decals were worth the effort. Thats stunning!
Lonewolf
If you really want one, we can arrange it for $150.00 less than it cost me.

I really don't know how much I spent or how much of it actually ended up being part of the bike. I have a lot of spares floating around, now.

Full wheelset being built.

downright SICK. no detail overlooked.

Um, This detail:
It just came in what I thought was an empty box.smile.gif

-This was a seat picture that I may put a link to. I wanted to keep posting pics, so this one had to go.
Lonewolf
That's a bit better. I slip straight off the back! lol. It's staying on the bike!

Carbon/Ti seat addition: That's a raw, blasted chainring because no matter what you do on the phone with Dan's Comp, they never send the right stuff.
1984
really nice!
Lonewolf
Thanks '84. I got the biggest, fattest tire I could buy, because I like the 4x4 look on the front end. It's also way way way more stable.

I mentioned this before, but if that snake on the head tube looks familiar to you, it's not a snake that diamondback ever used.

It's "Sneaky Pete" from the nose badge of the first gen Dodge Viper, adapted into a custom Diamondback logo.

Wow tight. Wont you run a KMC hollow pin GOLD chain to pop the bottom even more?

I will certainly consider it. Only problem is having different color metal drivetrain parts which touch one another creates a busy look situation.

If it is a metal finish, it should be separated by a body color or black, in this case, before changing color. It might pop, but if you think about what I just said, you may find that you agree.

A polished Snap chainring would look great on there, really nice bike JD

Thanks a lot man. I'm eating it up! I must admit.
I took a polished 44T snap off, to put the Rennen on. Told ya'll I had spares. I like the Rennen better.
46T Rennen is like 50% lighter than the slotted snap, anyway.
Subjective.

beautiful!!

Wow, that is too cool! Lets hear about the super bike in the background...

It is bad [please review the site FAQs]..do you race this bike or is it a carpet queen?

Where did you get your stickers Wolf?

Stickers: You can get them from me. If you have another type of application (different make), I will give you all the info you need, to do the same thing, but with a different model bike. smile.gif

Just PM me.

Bike was lightly used when I started the heavy mods. Been to the track twice with it. That is my real ABA number. Just Bought a 2003 Diamondback RM20 as my new daily rider. I had to. The stickers alone were over 3 hundred dollars.

I put 10 bhp into a Honda Z50 and I thought that was crazy! rolleyes.gif I have to say, I miss 2 stroke GP's...

Ya man, sorry to turn on your thread but the big bang 2 strokes rocked! Don't get me wrong, I know the 4 strokes are better(mo bet-ta and faster) but you had to be a mad man to ride the 500's. Wayne Raney was the man(I liked the tall Texan too)!

I sold it but it was a 74 z 50 with a knock off 125cc engine. It was way too fast for the soft spring set up...

I'm looking to build a Honda ZB50 with a 160cc(close to 15hp)

That thing RAWKS. Wonder if Harry's seen this thread? (would probably make him want one too!)

All he needs to do is ask. I have spoken with Harry through Thumperpilot and on the internet in 1995.

I would get him a frame and fork, just like you see mine, just for the asking. on me and I would be ecstatic about the whole thing! Only problem with the stickers is that this bike is in need of being cleared over. The stickers chew up napkins, and leave napkin lint over the whole bike.

I know what a wonderful guy he is and I see him truly as one of my real heroes. He probably had more influence over my life than any single individual.

Want proof?

Look at all the black stuff in my front yard! The neighbors love me.

Just speak up in an IM or something, Harry.

making a frame/fork set for you would please me to no end.

We have never met, but he knows of me: Guess who's plates these are?

$300 for stickers....what are they Gold leaf?

That is your real #? how are you running the black plate?

Have you sent any pics to DB? I am would love to hear their comment....do the Gold chain!

That's how much they cost me. like $310.00. I can order small batches now that would bring the price down over 50% of that. There are suppliers who do different types of stickers for way less, though.

I have been to the track twice. It's over an hour from my house and it's difficult to put a rack on an RX-7. I had the rack slip off the top of the bumper, digging a pedal into my spoiler. I could use my army truck, but it only does about 55 mph.

I am not racing again, yet, as I am getting over a motorcycle wreck. I have a torn up knee, but I am still fast down the first straight. Even with the tight/loose knee. It's gotten a lot better in the last few weeks. That's how I have a black plate.

I will be working on my recovery with dirt. I'm building a pump track in the back yard and I will ride through the winter and hopefully start back racing, after 20 years, in the spring.

I think this bike may very well end up being a carpet queen. Why tear it up? Does this disappoint you in some way?

Mike Hammond of Diamondback, spoke up about it. on the reactor thread and I posted it on this thread.
racebmx
LOL no carpet queens are cool as I own atleast 10 myself!!!!!

That DB is bad a$$ and would love to see them produce something like it. The sticker set is tight indeed.

No I would not race a carpet queen but would build another to thrash. 20 year lay off? So you prob race a few legends I would have to imagine.

By the way the scooter is bad tooo.

That is a great looking bike! Love the new school/old school look. I give you credit for shellin' out the money for the stickers....don't know if I could bring myself to do it!

If you unhook the brake line and pop the stem off the fork should slide out with a minimal amount of work then all the peices get wrapped with towels and go in the trunk. If you build one just for this purpous you can call it your trunk-rat (anything that lives in your trunk is going to get thrashed some) and pull the bike out for a quick bit of stress relief after a hard workday or at lunch...

No man! I don't mind! I'm not like some other people whom are anal about their pics. My pics are yours. Do with them what you will. I did this bike for the people on this site and whichever sit you think might want to see it.

More pics are on the way. I've been gone at work.

I hope I don't disappoint you. It's getting black Atomlab pimplites, silver nipples (only red or silver as they are proprietary for the rims), black spokes and, yes, gold Profile mini race cassette hubs.

King hubs look really gold, Profiles look a little more yellow? Anyway, I hope for a good outcome. I wanted gold nipples, but my ex-girlfriend said she wasn't into that stuff.
