i took the back wheel of on my raleigh rampar to clean the insides, after i finished cleaning i put the wheel back on.

after i put the wheel back on there was a rattiling noise comming from the back it is all lose and now moves from side to side, i try tightinng the nuts more but nothing happens....does anyone know what i need to tighten or losen to make it stop the wheel shaking from side to side?

Hey Oaks,

It seems that your cones need to be tightened up a bit.

You will need two super thin flat wrenches to get the job done.

Checkout a few of these links for a better idea of what I mean.

thanks for the help mike, although i figured it out before you gave me the advice....

the actuall problem was that i over tightened the nuts on the actual wheels(the really small ones) losining solved this.

Yah, You always need to be careful with your nuts... ohmy.gif

a problem explained via you tube thats a first....so you can video,upload to a computer,upload to a web site...but you couldnt figure how to adjust the end play on a tuff-wheel...you got me perplexed bro!! lol..
