Does anyone here know Chris AKA Oldfreestyler

Much has been said about Chris over the years. He's "hot and cold" on here.

Most of the time he's informative, friendly, and trustworthy. Unfortunately, there have been times when he has done some VERY SHADY deals. At one time he owed me money for over a year for something that I paid for and never received. Well, he eventually made good on it, but I wouldn't do another deal with him because of that. I believe Hand Grenade actually went to his house a few years ago when he owed a lot of people a lot of money and he had his phone disconnected. (Incidentally, that didn't get my money back but I believe it helped)

As I remember, the section of this site that is now dedicated to the good / bad sellers - was a direct result of Mr. Ard's shady-ness.

Yea,

I know him. He seems to go through bikes without any real commitment. Gets a frame and some parts and trades them away for something else, over and over. I've got some o.k. stuff from him in the past, never did me wrong.

I bought an ACS stem and rotor from him for a really good price, and he sent me a bunch of extra stuff too. I was happy. I think that was about 2 years ago, because I was pretty busy with just having Vivi and planning our wedding and stuff and I remember just having the parts sit there for a while. It was really cool and nice of him, and that's my one deal with him.

Chris has always been good to me. Made a few deals/trades with him. Always fast shipping too.

Well he was suppose to ship me a frame quite awhile ago and his phone is disconnected or changed.
So if anyone knows of a way to connect w/ him LMK
Thanks

Unbelievable! I can't believe someone can connect / disconnect a phone line as much as that guy. This is his M.O.

Good luck Terrance. As I stated before, he made good with me but it took almost a year to the day and MUCH prodding.

It wasn't a chrome mid school GT Performer was it? I already sent him a $120 for it over a year ago and received nothing.

I find it so frustrating that this guy is STILL pulling this stuff. Again, and again, and again. The stories are the same every time he re-emerges.

Does anyone remember a bunch of people donating parts to build him a complete since he was "down on his luck"? He posted it for sale about a year later.

SCUM!

yeah, that was the part that pissed me off...this guys a [that which cleanses internals]. plain and simple...

Yeah, that debacle was my fault. I got everyone to donate parts and I spent a lot of time putting it together and giving away my favorite new school frame at the time for him to just stiff us all and sell it. I seem to remember him saying something like. "It just wasn't right for me. Oh well."

Lost tons of respect right there.
