This is probably single coolest site I've ever seen. I had a tragedy at age 15, sold my bike to get first car. Looking back I remember not even hesitating, trading a bike in for a car. This meant a few things at the time, mostly NEVER having to ride the cheesewagon again and well, the whole thing with the ladies.
1984 GHP, powdercoat tic-tac orange, vectors, hutch hubs, cook bros. cranks, hutch post, etc. - Sold to 12 year old kid in the hood for.......$100
Hopefully I can rebuild this bike soon. The cranks will be next to impossible I am guessing.

The cranks aren't quite next to impossible to get, but you are going to pay a hefty sum for them. The hutch hubs and seat post are going to be killers also. Hutch stuff has a cult following and are priced accordingly.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a really cool bike you had back then. It will definitely be a challenge to rebuild that one but when you do, it will be so worth it.
I was lucky enough to still have the bike I raced BITD. The restoration and rebuild was so much more rewarding the any of the other bikes I built. I will never let that one go.

Welcome to the 'hood!
MiniZ hit the nail on the head with getting the parts that you used to run. You can find them out there...
if you're willing to pay for them.
Cheers,

yeah, that $100 bike with "inflation" will run you close to 2K. Take some cool pic's when you get it done!!!
