I worked in a high volume BMX shop in California, called Moby Dick just threw that in for a laugh, from 1977 to 1984 and have never seen this brand.

I'm going to guess that it was a team, or shop that had their own decals made up. Or a start up company that never took off. Just a hunch though. But never heard or seen them anywhere

115 views here now. Does this mean the community here is stumped on these stickers?

I Got this bike From my friend who has had it since it was brand new. I am restoring it as we speak. Im new to this forum but I think I am seeing how to show you all the pics. lol!

Serial number is - A 86588. Sorry about pic quality fellas. My camera is down , so I have to resort to my phone... Hope this helps as I know nothing about this bike accept for I talked to the guy selling the Decals and he said it looked like an "82" CTS. I went to "happy place that makes me want to skip! Skip!" and under their bikes area there were 2 CTS Bmx's . Sure enough they had a 1982 and it looks just like mine. But no Decals. Ive seen other pics in there search area and they all have decals that say CTS Mine has none and I guess never has? Any info would be very much appreciated! Thank You -Jarrett

I have a bike that is a dead ringer for that one except for the decals and bars (mine are non RL "V")
It's called a Discus, just Taiwan department store crap, but they look cool. If it had a loop rear and no stupid chain guard tabs the frames would look just like a Webco

Cheez I agree, I was thinking the same thing when I read his add. Ive been looking for a R11XL.
But Im no Bill Bastain expert.
I agree the CC decals scream Taiwan and looks like an Akisu built frame.
They always copied US brands.

Well I also forgot to add That it has a Ralston Cycle sticker on it. Back in the day they were one of our top bike shops, that didn't sell crap? This frame has no spot that shows it ever had a Chain guard on it. I remember some kid in early grade school having one of these bikes. Also I showed it to my Brother who is 11 years older and he said some guy used to be big into racing Rode one of these bikes to Senior High school. He also wore the shirts w/ the matching "CC Racing"logo on them from his team. So these bikes cant be K-mart crap? Check the bike section @ "happy place that makes me want to skip! Skip!" Go to the CTS section. There you will see a 1982 CTS That looks exactly like my bike to the T?

Cheez. That tab u see is the coaster brake holder that slid down because the screw is out.... No chain guard Tabs any where! My rear Hub is Sugino and the front is a Suzue The rims both have the same writing and #'s? "SUN METAL PROD INC 12 82" They are the Original wheels that came w/ the bike.

I'll have to get a pic of mine then. Mine has a decent set of 1pc, spider and ano'd alloy disk, hubs are just loose ball with steel sun rims, has decent ano brakes F&R, decent stem.
Post some better pics of the welds they tell the whole story.
You can put lip stick (nice components) on a pig (cheap frame/fork) but it's still a pig
It's a nice find/rider but thats about it IMO

If it was from Taiwan it probably wasnt department store junk. All the top brands got bikes from Akisu it seems. It was just probably Mild Steel (Hi Tensile) or TriMoly frame Id bet. A great beginner bike. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. Just not top of the line is all.

Still no clue huh? To add this bike has no sticker/stamp That says Taiwan!!! As stated above, This was a RACING TEAM from the eighties and also this bike has a sticker that says it was bought from a VERY respected bike shop from back in the day that is no longer in business. Thank You guys that are trying to help, Not the dogger that thinks its department store crap. Jarrett

Akisu was a japaneese held company racer. They were bought out by Far East Machinery Co, FEMCO (Taiwan) sometime around 1984-85. If it's an old frame it won't say it's from Taiwan, ROC or China. Even the Japaneese frames made for Diamondback only had a small baseball logo on them. Some great stuff was made by Japan BITD. Tange and Akisu made some very nice stuff. I don't think they had the import laws requiring identification of origin back then. Hell most stuff today only has a sticker that can be just taken off. If the welds are large and somewhat lumpy than the quality is not there. Why don't you post some clear pics of the welds?
Yes that FEMCO is the one and the same that gets allot of mention around here. Bicycle rims were their first products when they started in 1949.
Anyone have some FEMCOs on their old 74 mono shock that say made in Taiwan? I doubt it. I don't recall even seeing that marked on them BITD I used to think that FEMCOs were American made

Wow! Thanks for all the in depth information... That is a lot of useful stuff that I did not know. You sure know a lot about bikes. The reason I'm having trouble posting pics is because my camera is broke and I have to use my crapper phone. I will do the best I can. Maybe then that will help you, help me? Thanks Cheez. Jarrett
