I don't know much about JAG bmx, I have found a similar bike on the museum without the Redline style gusset that has all the original stickers. This one only has a small JAG sticker on the seat mast.

This looks MCS to me, I have seen a similar MCS in a SuperBMX mag from 89-90ish... It was a MCS rider in a Woodward ad, I'll have to get a scan of that page too.

Anyone have any other pictures or information about the JAG bikes?

Thank you,

That's definitely a jag, from around 82 or 83.

Check this post for a nice rebuild-

Duck,

Thank you very much... I was wondering what the rest of the sticker set looks like.

Thanks again.... I guess I missed that thread, just a month ago too.

I used to race a Jag Team 20 with the loop tail. Jag offered a pack that came with frame/forks/jersey and pants and I think maybe Jox shoes, but that was too long ago to remember. Where did you get the blueprint?

svt_pony, I just noticed you are from Hillard. I live out east in Granville. I just bought a Jag frame/fork like the one you have pictured from Brian Hayes. Here's the pic he had in his thread.

I've been looking for a sticker set for my old Jag. They are the black stickers I saw in this post with chrome and paw prints. anyone know where I can obtain? email me spot311@comcast.net

Dan, do you have any of the black/silver pawprint Jag stickers left? I have a 1983 Jag looptail cruiser.
Thanks.

The bike in the post is a third and I think last generation Jag. The first was a single loop double gusset design made by bmx products. It even had the same geometry as a Mongoose.

In 83 Jag came out with the second generation frames. They had redline proline style gussets and a double loop rear end. The bike really looked like a hutch with proline gussets welded on. Even the chrome and black stickers were hutch inspired.

When bmx plus tested the new Jag, for some incomprehendable reason the claimed it was a copy of a Robinson. Robinson did use a simular double loop rear, though they were not the first to do so. At that time they still had a webco style double head gusset, while the jag used the allready mentioned proline style gussets.

Before long the jag rear end was changed to what you have pictured which is essentially a champion style rear end.

If by "small free public skate park" you mean a few ramps set up in a parking lot...... yes. lol

This is my Jag Team 20 before I corrected some parts on it to make it just like the one I raced (in my avatar).
