For those of you who do not know me, My name is Joey Sears, I raced BMX BITD and have been a member of VBMX for about 8 months, My son Brennan is 13 years old and has Muscular Dystrophy, He is confined to a wheelchair Now and has been since he has been 11 years
When Brennan was born he seemed healthy, so In my mind I couldn't wait until the day he was old enough to ride a bike, then I found out around the time he was 1 1/2 or 2 that he had Muscular Dystrophy,
he was able to walk pretty well until he was 10 and he did get the chance to ride a bike, I had to tape his feet to the pedals because he didn't have enough muscle in his legs to get the cranks around, but he did get the thrill of riding a bike, but now he is in the state of the illness where he has to be in a wheelchair at all times,
well this weekend is the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, so if anyone reading this wants to take the time to just watch the telethon for a second or donate some money any little bit helps, thanks
