I used to be. I lived in Caracas as a kid, from '68 to '72. I really, really miss arepas and churritos.

Yeah, me too! - you can find churros in Miami (Churromania) but I have no chance in Texas. Nowadays Arepas are easier to find all along the South and Southwest.

Nice bowl (or should I say park) you have built in your backyard. Unbelievable!

The backyard park is Jim Johnson's- I wish it was mine! He's about an hour north of me.

I've yet to find good Venezuelan style arepas anywhere around here...it's all Cuban style with the sweet yellow cornmeal and cheese. Still very good, but not the same. And I miss hayacas and hayaquitas...not sure if I spelled those right.
