Very nice. Looks ready to race again.
mrraceinc
Glad to hear you finally got one. I know you had been looking for one forever. A couple of years before I met you when you lived in Peoria I actually had a NOS one in red that I sold. They are definately pretty cool bikes. Looks like you did a nice build!
jerry a hutcher
That is so cool to recreate a blast from the past....Congratz awesome build...

Thanks for the help PEP!

I also need a good pick or scan of an ABA ARIZ-1 district plate from 77-78, and a white V-bar pad

PEP your Grom was fun to whach run around, he ws cool. "Sir Talks Alot" that's still cracking me up. My 8 year old is the same.
sanjosebmx
Thats beautiful Chuck. I still owe you guys the good pic of the old style ABA plates. Sorry I saved that IM and just spaced it.

I'll try to get to it today...

That is so nice you have to shield your eyes to look at it. Congratulations on completing your grail.

Writing this from my grandmother's house in Galesburg, IL. You can tell by the clover that that bike's on midwest dirt.

Thanks for all the kind comments. For my next trick I will be building a Profab mini that came to me courtesy of Mr Ken Pliska.

Now if I could just talk Scott Towne into selling me his euro BB Pro (or find him a Super Cheetah) and JMC ACE out the tandem, my plan for Profab domination will be complete!
cheez
Any other Profabs out there?
bmxmom
very cool cheez smile.gif

There is a 2 Wheelers branded version on ebay now. Says it was Brian Lewis's frame.

Just looked at it, is it just me or is that a gnarly dent in the chain stay?

If I had some extra $ I might consider it, but I'd rather spend on a painted euro BB or a tandem frame that wouldn't need the chainstay tube replaced and rechromed

Anyone have a pic of that mag cover they were talking about?

I asked the seller about the dent in the Chain stay and this is the response I got.

"I'm sorry, I don't have a closer pic of that part of the frame...This is a two wheeler round frame, pinched by the factory to clear the cranks for Brian Lewis because when he rode he had too much torque and the cranks hit the frame...so they customized this frame for him personally (this is a prototype frame because of this) in order to get clearance for the cranks."

Anyone on here know Brian? It would be interesting to know for sure. It would seem like other things could have been done to avoid denting the chain stay
