What do you do when you have been looking for "that" component to finish your build?...you know the part that if missing will always leave your build not completely finished....

For me, I've been looking for the IRC Diamond Back Turbo Tires for about 4 years...Oh yes I have a pair...but I need black...my problem is I have a black front and a yellow rear..I need black 2 blacks..

Any suggestions? Should I try to dye the yellow one, how would I rig up a set-up so as not to dye the side wall black??

What do you guys think my chances of ever locating the 20 x 1.75 in black are? Obviously they are rare, but are they that rare???

They are to go on this....

Why do you think it took me 2 1/2 yrs to finish my Quad build.,.,.,.and 4 years to complete the Monty Profile build.

I'm really not a fan of DB, just because they are/were too small for me, But for "me", this is the first time Ive seen Diamond Back tires. I'm sure with this thread, somebody might have one stashed somewhere, and offer up a black tire good2.gif

I must say, she's a beauty.

cool bike-not sure about the dying-could be interesting.
I've got a set of NOS yellow ones if it helps?

Thanks for the offer of the yellow ones, but I just don't think they will work with my black theme..

andYeah, I'm not keen on dying my yellow but that is about how desperate I'm getting to sort the build out...just lingering on and on...I was thinking I could rig it up on a wheel and fork and rotate it in container of dye in sections, letting each section dry between rotation...but I have a feeling it could end up a big old mess...like the couple of set of yellow oakley grips that are now green....ouch, yes I deserve a flaming for that project....but all is not lost, I might have to do an army green freestyler...

Oakley Mess!

I wouldn't dye them. I do not think it will work. I believe you will get the same results with tires as with grips.
