I'm Going to Bump this up,
When it comes to Kentucky we really don't have much Bragging rights to Many Factory Riders,
I just wanted to point out that in Aug 1983 Greg was In the top 3 in wins and points in the NBL, But as I remember Him saying he didn't go to the NBL Grands in Nashville Because he wanted to Play Football, Greg Could have Been NBL National #1 in 15 x, But I believe that Honor went to Eric Garcez. Not sure I remember the national Number He ended up with,

Actually those standings that Super BMX published were not very acurate. They only listed wins for the races they covered. Greg ended up not getting a nat. # in 1983 because he didnt race the grands. I think he was third in points going into the grands that year. We had an insane class that year.

Some of us moved up a class before the grands but for the bulk of the year this was our class. That is basically 3 full gates of guys that could win.
