What's up fellas? I haven't posted in a while but am getting the itch to start another project. 3-bar cruisers have been catching my eye lately. I don't have a 26er but have a few 24's. The Lagunas and S&S frames look really nice... CBR's too of course.

I was wondering if am am missing any others besides powerlite. Living on the east coast, I have never seen a 3bar around.

I don't want to spend a fortune on this project so which brand would be the best to hunt down. This is all new territory for me so I have no idea what I am getting into. Thanks.

I think MCS also made a 3 bar cruiser...

My personal favorite..

Damn you have some nice rigs.
HurricaneHenry
That VDC is very nice!
Moosegoose Nick
That VDC has to be one of the sickest cruisers period. That one with Diesel's Black Kos are 2 of my all time personal favorites. You guys did GREAT on those.

MCS MagnaCruise
The Red Baron
This is my latest build. It's a 1956 Schwinn with all Redline components.

It was made to look like my 2007 redline.

dewabo
I like them all! the VDC is sic...I have actually sat on that MCS of billns. Thats a good one also!
84pk
Those are some sweet builds. The VDC is just crazy and so out of my league it's rediculous... and is doesn't get more ol'skool than that rollfast. I definitely need to add one of these to the collection. Trying to figure out what to get rid of will be the hard part.

A schwinn may be the cheapest route. I know somebody posted a schwinn here recently all tricked out with bmx components. That was the bike that got me looking into 3-bars. Then I saw this white and red laguna on another site and almost fell out of my chair.

Keep the pics coming if you got one and thanks for sharing.
rumblerdave
wow, some really cool stuff so far!

The old Schwinn frames are cheap and easy to find, yet still so cool... theyr'e everywhere- flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales, BIKE SHOPS!!!
Start with a Schwinn frame, and you could always transfer the parts over to something more exotic later on...
DitchWeed
MikkoPeters has a nice 3 bar named PEG. Maybe he'll post it up!

That VDC is the cats gnats....
tumeke
Hey there Quicksilver BMX. Is that Bennett a 24 or a 26 cruiser?

Does this count?

HurricaneHenry
WOW, that Profile is sick! Are those Son Lite hubs I see??? sun_bespectacled.gif
omartcruisers
Had a black profile cruiser for awhile BITD. Loved the way it looked but it was so darn small for me. Seeing some of this stuff kind of gets me mad since so much of it I had in the garage at one point in my life. My folks made me get rid of most of it and the few things that were left disappeared over the years. Some flite 400's, aero rims with GT hubs, set of Redline wheels from the mid 90's, a dented but uncracked JMC, bunch of Powerlite bars, etc.
Criscobath
Getting jealous.

Here's my latest. I think you might call it a 4 bar cruiser. sun_bespectacled.gif

And the other, a Kona 3 bar.

I still want a late 70s/early 80s S&S, Basset, or Laguna 26er REALLY bad!
QuicksilverBMX
now its the latest edtion to my riders stable!

ColoredTuffs.com
Bonzai Cycles from Lantana Florida did one in 1991.

It sucked...LOL..... But they did do one.

jerry a hutcher
it did suck if the guy in the white t shirt was the test pilot...

here is my bigboy MCS
Kelly B
I just added some BMX touches to this. 1951 Firestone super cruiser.
Faust Wurstkotzenhauser
I wanted one too... but I didn't want to pay a fortune for a good rust-free (safe) rider... so I got a Skull Skates cruiser and I've been really happy with it...

84pk
Criscobath, your schwinn was the bike that got me started on 3-bars!

I just pulled the trigger on one last night. Stay tuned cause I'll post pics when it arrives. I am getting very excited about this bike.

That is a killer find! Looks like it's had some repairs?

I finally got around to taking some pictures so here is my S&S Performance Products Newport cruiser. This is my first 26"er and she is such a cool riding bike. I picked it up here in the for sale section.

Let me know what you think.

Criscobath
I love that bike.
84pk
Thanks dude. My collection has definitely turned the corner with this one. I am not a fan of yellow but when you see the bike in person, it just works. The paint is a little rough in spots so I may go with an original S&S color one day. For now, it is what it is... a fun ride.

This is my Panda. Rides like a dream. I got about 15,000 miles on it.
They seem to be reasonable when they come up for sale.
