I found this in an old bike shop in southern Minnesota just before the Fourth of July. looked all original, missing the seat and the post was stuck in the frame, but the shop owner only wanted $40 for it, and I probably could have got it for $30 if I offered it. but I would have had to put it on my bike rack on the roof, haul it around for 2 weeks, then drive home back to Oregon with it on the roof. I don't know, maybe I just talked myself out of buying it by thinking that way, but I normally wouldn't buy a bike like that. if it was a DG I wouldn't think twice about it. smile.gif

I guess I could send my cousin the $40 and keep it at their house til next year.

what is this thing anyway? any idea what year it is?

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like a Columbia or something. Although neat, it's not particularly rare or expensive so I don't think you should feel too bad about it.

I'd just do a google search for AMF Roadmaster Skyrider and see what happens.

I can tell you the fork was bent.

NOT a Schwinn. Roadmaster was then as Roadmaster is now - a cheapie. I'm guessing early '60's. Nothing special. You didn't screw up passing on it.
