Thought you might get a kick out of this. This is the frame on the cover of MBA that Tomac rode. Floval tubing and modified? SE fork style rear end.

That's an SE mountain bike huh? Wow looking at the headline of the magazine that must have been one of the first full suspension mt bikes.

Any more behind the scenes on this one? Who built it?

I look at that and wonder why they didn't use a SE fork, for the fork??
All that work to make the rear swingarm from an SE fork, but then use a standard, non-descript fork for the front.
Could have been just that much "cooler".

Dan Hanebrink was the suspension consultant on this bike, I think.

Dan Hanebrink and Mike Devitt master minded the SHOCKER I cool.gif that cover shot was 1987.. The SE Shocker's were made in 1985, only a few were built..

Not made from a LG fork,but they did use the same 1 1/4" .049" wall cro-mo tubing, capped off with the '85 style fork caps. cool.gif
