Hi guys, new to the forum, just looking for a few answers. I found my old Riptile in my folks barn many, many years after loaning it to my cousin and never seeing it again. Needless to say it isn't in the same condition as I remember last seeing it.

I would like to restore my old bike for sentimental reasons, excercise, and my kids are getting to the bike age, and it would be nice to ride with them.

My question is, where would I look to find parts and decals?

Any info on the bike would also be appreciated. It was the first bike I bought myself when I was a kid, and would really like to have it back. I honestly don't remember when I bought it, but it has to be close to 20 years old. The serial # BI0260, or KW1F00281, both numbers are on the crank case.

Thanks again.

I purchased one of those bikes a couple years ago as part of a larger lot - I may have some stuff you're looking for.

As you can see, the bike is in pretty rough shape. I could probably use what you are willing to part with. I haven't dug into it yet, and honestly have no idea where to start, but it may not hurt to start gathering some parts. Thanks
Kurt.
Starting point - check out the pinned "Oxalic Acid" thread at the top of the Tech & Restoration section. You'll be amazed how well and how easily that chrome will clean up.

Thanks, I've been reading it, and the stuff looks great. This weekend I plan on tearing into it.
