Okay for those of you who don't know, Bill Curtain came and snagged Pep, Masterstint, KIW, Toddzilla, Mike Carruth, and myself for a little food tasting at the aba trailer. People at the track have a chance to cook up some awesome stuff to be judged. So we headed over and let me tell you, wow. We tried 14 different items judged on presentation, recipe name and taste. It was all very good and i myself have had some great food in my life but those burgers and pulled pork sandwiches were killer. I don't think i've ate since. Guys feel free to correct me or fill in the blanks.

I liked the chili burgers, the hamburgers, and the big kabobs!
The big kabobs ended up winning. All dishes were verygood!

it was all really good, but for me the grilled chicken, and the burger with the cheddar cheese were my faves!

I liked the kebobs as well, the chicken roll, and the "chili burgers" (the ones at the far left of the table). I thought the pizza, while creatively presented was like cardboard with absolutely no flavor. Also thought the pulled pork was flavorless.
I wish there was a warming cabinet to hold the items at temp. The Walleye looked interesting (especially after talking to HeirVent about his fishing the night before), but cold, it just did not have it.
All I can say is these folks should be grateful for the Vintage event. Had I not been saddled with details and fully loaded in the truck, I was going to enter the grill off...and would have blown the doors off all comers!
My Menu (was going to do two of three):
16-Hour Mesquite and Cherry-smoked Brisket with fresh garlic and pummeled pepper crust
"Rhythm Section" Ribs with straightaway slaw
"Old Neighborhood" Italian Sausage & Peppers
Homemade Lemon Italian Ice (family recipe)
Hoping to get busy at a future event!!
Had fun judging and jawing with my fellow judges!

I would agree with Mike, the food should have been kept warm somehow.
After trying all 14 items....the kabobs were good, but the burgers were the best.
I did sample the moonshine...very tasty. Pep really likes it, as he made off with a glass full.
