Thing about lacing one this way. Have been told best to have all spokes on outside of flange so that spokes push at flange for more lateral stiffness??? ideas help please.

be carefull. many hubs can't handle radial lacing and will crack. make sure yours can, first.

at the shop we had so many problems with Nukeproof hubs cracking. it seems they can't handle any style lacing. i'd avoid radial with those.

I will second what mr coasterbrake said. I would avoid radial lace on those hubs. When shopping for hubs, I would contact the manufacturer and make sure they can handle radial lace before you buy them.

Ouch - doesn't that put a lot of undue stress on the spokes, having them all "outbound" and crossing over one another so closely?

Actually makes for a stronger wheel (so they say). This is commonly know as "race lace" ^^
BMXA ran a story with pics BITD on differant hubs an lacing. I'll see if I can find what issue it was in.

The hubs have been sitting on my bench for about ten years . The front spoke holesseem small and wont turn to cross lace and spoke lenth is odd. Just puting my sons old phase two togeather so my grandaughter will have something to ride if she attends a race with me.

This lace is super stiff ..used double butted spokes...been about a year since the wheels were built and their still tight and straight...so just do it and you won't have any problems ...and if the nukeprook hubs crack try FMF hubs...they still make a flip flop hub !!!
