I wanna learn cherrypickers..I was trying them this morning by stepping into them..I can balance there for a few seconds..when i try to hop the back wheel kicks out and goes all over the place...Ive never been good at hopping tricks..

I think the easiest way would be to either put your bike close to a wall so you can try to hold yourself up, or you could try it on a smaller bike first, like a pit bike or a kid's bike. Don't make big hops, you'll start drifting all over the place, focus on small hops and trying to keep the rear wheel in one small area.

And another thing, despite what others tell you DO NOT practice in grass! It's safer for a fall but the grass is soft and you will not be able to bounce well.

Once you have mastered hopping for at least 30 seconds have one of your friends take a pic of you in action so you can post it in this thread!! tongue.gif

It is possible to scuff and roll a cherry picker ..... This pic was around 1996 , me and Bryan Huffman Both did this trick . I got a pic in Ride BMX in 97 and also a small cover shot in BMX Plus soon after .

HOLY SH*T!!

How the hell do you control that??!?!!

I GOTTA try this.......

I always loved those dyno brake covers......always wanted one and never had one. LOL....ya know....that looks painful with converse all stars......LOL....I always tore up my shoes and foot on the rear brake bolt unless I had a good pair of padded sneakers.....

Aww yeah, I made a couple of those back in the day. In this shot I'm using a real Buff Guard and in this shot of a posed Miami Hopper, I'm using one I made out of a numberplate.
