Well, I just bought a new bike for my return to BMX. To start with, I’ll be wearing my DH Mountain bike jersey and a pair of jeans. I would like to pick up a set of race pants and jersey however.

I’ve been out of this game for a LONG time. Can those of you out there recommend brands and models for me to have a look at? There are tons of models and styles I was looking at on the net, but don’t know one from the other.

Thanks in advance!

Fly's are nice and all, and it's nice that they suport the site. But I got a pr. of Shift pants for 29.99 on a motocross website I go to for MX parts and gear. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/DVG...-Motocross.aspx
They are running 60% off closeout Shift gear.

Actually, that's something that I wanted to ask....

Is there a difference between BMX pants and MX pants?

Only difference I see is availability. There are soooo many to choose from in MX, and soooo few in BMX. I don't get it, but I know I look at all the MX sites as well as the BMX sites. I've been riding MX for 20 years now, but all of my riding pants are "over the boot" type freestyle pants. And those won't work for sure in BMX biggrin.gif .

It's pretty much all the same for MX and BMX.

I like the fly stuff too and have the current model year F-16 jersey and prior year 303 pants. My little one also wears Fly.

Others that are popular at the track: O'neal, Fox, Answer, Thor, Shift.

Check your LBS for deals and close outs... it may not be uncommon for them to swing you a deal on stuff if you sport their jersey... one shop here, for $100 will set you up with pants (Fly), the shop jersey and gloves--and you'll get discounts in the store later.

Another place that has crazy deals is Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. My brother got his little girl's stuff there--they have package deals at times for a whole setup.
