Do all of the old school (1980's) DB frames have the Signature Diamond in the frame? I had a Viper as a kid and I have seen some DB's for sale on Ebay and other sites and they do not have the Diamond on the frame...Are those real? I want to buy authentic and not get screwed. Thanks for the Help!

Kurt.
The traditional Diamond Backs you are thinking of went through to 1983. '84/'85 they changed to a smaller diamond. After that gussets disappeared. For my money, I stick to '83 or earlier.

There were a few different frames available in that timeframe - some in full chromoly others tri-moly. The Large/Senior Pro and Turbo frames are a good size - medium pros and silver streak are much smaller.

Can be tricky to identify exactly which model you are looking at some times - avoid anything that has welded on tabs for chainguard etc.

Best bet is to find out the serial number and post that and some good pics - especially side on - and we can identify which model you are looking at.

Cheers mate
