I have this set of forks and have been told they ARE Robinson forks and I've been told they AREN'T Robinson forks. Who can help me figure these out? I've also been told maybe they are Mongoose forks or VDC forks. I know they aren't Mongoose, but I don't know what VDC's look like enough to make that judgement. Pay no attention to the futuristic black powder on these puppies.

mr coasterbrake
they are not VDC.

besides the Robinson possibility, they might be early Profiles.

They sure do look like early Profiles. I agree.

That's what I thought when I first clicked on this thread - Profile.

I guess I've never seen an early set of Profile forks then. Can someone dig up a pic of them?

Not an ideal angle, but here is a shot of the forks on my '79 Robinson.

By this pic I'd say it's a Robinson slam dunk

I gotta vote that they are indeed Robinson forks - looks just like mine (the way they're made, not the funky powdercoat). tongue.gif

That fork is a mirror image of my 79 robinson that I hold in my hand now!

Cool, thanks for the input guys.

Hey jetman, you don't just sit around holding your Robinson forks every day, do you? biggrin.gif

I agree.
Mr.Robinson
sorry, but those look fake - can tell by the paint job.

If it's heavy and feels like the real deal (chro-mo) it probably is.

The fake ones are lite and cheap.
